Chubb is currently seeking a skilled Outside Property Adjuster to join our team in Miami, FL

Position Description
The Outside Property Adjuster is responsible for the following:
• Analyze first reports to determine nature of loss, coverage provided, and scope of damage
• Promptly contact insureds; inspect and document damage, meet with insured or their representative, promptly and properly develop the file to provide accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis
• Maintain an active diary; monitor diary to achieve timely development of file and timely disposition of the claim
• Recognize and pursue recovery where possible
• Adhere to all statutory regulations and unfair claim practices act
• Effectively communicate with all internal and external customers
• Travel outside immediate territory to assist other offices with catastrophic events and capacity projects; and directly handle mold claims.
• The position’s primary jurisdiction will include, but not be limited to Miami-Dade County and Monroe County with immediate back-up duty within South Florida and other applicable areas.

Competencies/Tech Skills
Candidates should possess:
• Minimum of five to ten years of property claim adjusting experience
• Knowledge of insurance contracts, investigative techniques, legal requirements and regulations
• Ability to work with a wide spectrum of people; develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers
• Ability to use Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and estimating software
• Knowledge of current construction methods and costs; ability to write estimates, use estimating software, and complete a dwelling and/or commercial building valuation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service orientation
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Full knowledge, understanding, and use of the Symbility Estimating software are highly desirable.
Education:
College Degree and/or Related Experience Preferred
