Corporate Business Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Programmer Analyst on the Accounting System. This position resides in Warren, NJ.
As a Senior Programmer Analyst, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with excellent opportunities supporting the Accounting systems and Accounting business areas. This opportunity will provide the right candidate an exciting opportunity to learn new technologies and become a part of the Corporate Business Systems team. The technical responsibilities include a mix of both Client/Server and mainframe technologies to support the business needs of our business partners.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Senior Programmer Analyst, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the development and implementation of enhancements and problem solutions. Specific responsibilities include:
• Help in the evaluation of enhancements and programming requirements
• Participate in the analysis, development/maintenance, testing and implementation of solutions for problem resolution
• Design, code, modify and test programs of various levels of complexity and scope, work with basic applications system design specifications, and utilizing standard procedures and techniques.
• Interfacing with team members and subject matter experts to develop required solutions and technical approaches.
• Support for existing processes that involves ad-hoc and production job runs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Candidate should be able to develop technical specifications with minimal guidance.
• Strong organizational, analytical and customer service skills are required, as the candidate will be relied on to develop, and implement technical solutions to business-oriented requirements.
• Candidate must have strong communication skills and be a self-motivated individual who can work both independently and effectively with other team members.
• The candidate must be results-oriented as demonstrated through adherence to project timeliness, and the ability to anticipate and resolve technical issues before they impede project success.
• Candidate must have 5 years experience working with Informatica and ETL.
• Knowledge of performance tuning Oracle / Informatica a plus.
• Experience with large workflows a plus.
• Experience with Essbase , OBIEE or other Business Intelligence tools a plus
The candidate must also have the ability to handle multiple priorities.
-Knowledge of Accounting a plus
-Ability to handle complex reporting applications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree (Computer Science preferred) and at least five years experience in application program development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical proficiency required in Informatica ETL. Exposure to Java, .NET, and associated xUnit testing frameworks is a plus. Experience in Mainframe technologies and Focus/Web FOCUS a plus.
