Full-time Executive Benefits Specialist (entry level)

at Aon in Georgia

This position will be located in Atlanta

Position Overview
The Specialist is part of a team-based approach serving as a liaison between Aon’s consultants and our client base with accurate and timely recordkeeping, data work and administration of executive benefit plans. You will gain a thorough understanding of our business, including our products, structure, vendors, internal systems, and standard operating procedures. This position offers a blend of customer service skills in addition the task orientation related to plan administration. As part of the development plan and career path, you will gain skills in basic accounting and finance principles applicable to reporting requirements of the industry. 

Enroll new participants and issuing new policies
Generate new funding requirements and prepare premium bills
Provide plan reporting and financial analysis through database and spreadsheet tools
Forecasting and reconciling revenue
Provide reports to clients’ accounting, payroll, human resources personnel and financial decision-makers to support them as they manage the plans
Communicate plan benefits to plan participants; provide participant-level services
Review plan and enrollment documents to ensure that they reflect the plan design
Maintain current and historic plan information such that it can be referenced efficiently by others – filing, imaging, internal database, procedures, client calendar, case profiles, etc.  

Requirements
Bachelors degree, finance or accounting strongly preferred.
Prior administrative experience related to benefit plans a huge plus
Proficiency with MS Office suite including Access.  Experience with other data bases would demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and adapt to business unit and client needs
Proven written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively interact with internal colleagues, but also a variety of external contacts such as HR, finance, and senior level professionals at client organizations
Solid organizational ability to manage multiple tasks, recognize priorities, complete time sensitive requests, etc.
