Senior IT Business Analyst

Currently, Chubb is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst for the Warren, NJ office.
This person will act as a liaison between business partner and IT team. They will understand, review, analyze and evaluate customer needs. They will be responsible for development and documentation of business requirements for complex projects. They are also responsible to recommend solutions and ensure they meet the business need.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Defines and manages project scope throughout SDLC anticipating issues and proactively recommending solutions
• Elicits requirements from many stakeholders using techniques such as interviews, workshops, JAD sessions, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures
• Analyzes and documents business requirements for large and complex business requests while using industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis and business rule definition
• Collaborates across business and technology functions to ensure comprehensive, strategic business solutions are implemented
JOB SKILLS:
• Must be detail-oriented and thorough with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
• Must be flexible and effective at multi-tasking
• Establishes a positive relationship with IT staff and business partners
• Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Effective in a variety of formal and informal presentation settings: one-on-one, small and large groups
• Must be pro-active with issue identification and resolution
• Must be experienced with the entire systems development life cycle
• Excellent analytical ability, judgment, and consultative skills
• Strong ability to perform analysis of complex business, workflow, and technology issues to support decision-making
• Must have the ability to work effectively with business partners, IT management, and staff
• Must possess extensive insurance knowledge with specialty insurance as a plus
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor degree and at least six years experience in a systems analysis environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
