Currently, Chubb is seeking a Financial Analyst for the Warren, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, 2-5 years experience in a Financial Analyst role and strong technical skills. Position Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and production of U.S. and International financial planning, analysis and reporting products.
• Develop IT and business process efficiencies particularly around global data consolidation and reporting activities.
• Perform analysis of actual results on a variety of metrics: vs. plan and/or current period results vs. prior period communicating results and areas of concern to group.
• Support the coordination and production of the annual budget process including: Worldwide Revenue, Worldwide Expense Ratio, and International Expense planning.
• Assess the quality, accuracy and completeness of data/reports and work with appropriate parties to resolve anomalies.
• Research and analysis of premium and expense questions from various internal customers.
• Other Duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• General finance knowledge / background and basic understanding of accounting and budgeting concepts.
• Proven success in developing and maintaining financial reporting and consolidation tools using MS Excel and/or Access.
• Must have strong work ethic with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight time frames.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint is required.
• Working knowledge of financial systems (PeopleSoft GL, MIS, GFS, PMR) is preferred.
• Experience with Hyperion Planning is a big plus.
Analytical and Technical skill:
• Provide accurate data and analysis in a timely fashion.
• Timely completion and clear presentation of reports and metrics.
• Demonstrated good problem solving skills.
• Effective use of technology
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA, CPA or CFA a plus).
• 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
