Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Regional Supervisor, inspects properties in compliance with a court-approved protocol. Surveyors identify the product, measure the square footage of the covered product, determine whether damage and/or causation exception (exclusions) exist as defined in the class-action settlement, and record the square footage of compensable damage.

Responsibilities:
Examine structures to determine the existence of product include in court-ordered settlement.
Measure and record the square footage of covered product.
Determine whether damage exists as agreed by the parties to the settlement and approved by the Courts.
Determine whether Causation Exception, condition that excludes damage, exists as agreed by the parties and approved by the Courts.
Determine and record the square footage of compensable damage.
Perform inspections within the agreed timelines outlined by the settlement.
Uphold the Crawford & Company Code of Business Ethics at all times.
Perform other duties as requested.

Education:
High school or vocational school graduate or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong analytical ability and mathematical skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills - ability to learn automated siding claims system.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work remotely with little or no supervision.

Experience:
Previous experience in building construction is helpful, but not necessary.
Decision Making/Interaction:
Constant interaction with claimants or potential claimants; frequent interaction with Class Action staff. Interaction is primarily to exchange information.

Special Requirements/Certifications/Qualifications:
Must be able to drive a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license for the jurisdiction.
Depending on geographic territory, may involve extended driving or overnight stays.
