This Underwriting position with Chubb's Energy Resources department will manage approximately a $7-$8 million book of commercial business and be responsible for new business in their assigned territory. Lines of business include package, automobile, umbrella, international, and workers' compensation. Underwriting duties will include marketing and servicing accounts based on Chubb guidelines. Must develop strong relationship with assigned agents in order to manage our rate strategies and positively impact retention and profitability.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of energy experience in multi-line/commercial package underwriting with a desire to specialize in the energy sectors of power generation, oil and gas and mining. Must have proven ability to successfully negotiate on all levels and develop producer relations. A strong track record of service orientation is required. Knowledge of marketing principles, pricing/rate strategies and how to apply them to attain underwriting profit, new business and quality producer management is essential. Will need a solid background in risk analysis. Candidate must have strong communication and time management skills.
