Claims Supp Specialist

Position Summary:
Provide assignment support for Central Management Services for open/pending assignments by contacting clients and/or contractors, and updating various mediums according to procedures and program requirements.
Responsibilities:
Review daily reports for outstanding assignments.
Contact clients daily to provide status regarding mitigation assignments.
Contact contractors for file status (site inspection, estimate upload, etc.) as necessary.
Record status and file activity utilizing specific computer applications.
Assist clients with customer service inquiries.
Perform miscellaneous projects as assigned.
Upholds the Crawford Code of Business Conduct at all times.
Education:
High School Diploma and at least 2 years customer service and/or administrative/clerical experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to work and communicate with others, both orally and in writing.
Basic understanding of insurance terms, principles, concepts and practices a plus.
Ability to use computer programs and the internet.
Ability to learn specific computer applications.
Basic data entry.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience in customer service, administrative/clerical skills.
Decision Making/Interaction:
Frequent interaction with internal and external customers and other department personnel primarily to exchange information to solve problems.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment as programs/procedures change.
