Become an integral part of a team responsible for servicing the loss adjusting needs for a major London market carrier.
Position Summary:
Resolves complex inland marine or motor truck cargo claims.
Responsibilities:
Examines claims forms, policies and binders, client instructions
Sets loss reserves and adjusts as needed.
Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information required by client, local, state and federal government and by Crawford & Company.
Settles claims after determining insurance carrier’s liability, reviewing client’s instructions and authority levels
Controls claims costs.
May assist less-experienced adjusters with claims handling.
Required:
4 years of previous experience adjusting complex and high dollar inland marine claims or cargo claims with heavy losses.
Licensed as required by state and local jurisdiction.
Thorough knowledge of inland marine insurance coverage.
Strong analytical and mathematical ability.
