Staffing and Control Analyst
at Progressive Insurance in Ohio

The primary role of this Staffing and Control Analyst is to support all projects related to the Field Claims staff model. This entails managing the production, analysis, communication and enhancement projects of the staff model. This model is currently used by Corporate Claims, Field Claims and Corporate Planning groups to support decision related to staffing and expense planning.
It is expected that the analyst has strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills. The analyst will work closely with key staffing data such as feature forecast, Life of Feature, productivity measures, turnover/attrition and requisition and will be accountable for communication of the information.
In this role, the analyst will gain exposure, through quantitative analysis, on how various inputs impact staffing and translate to business decisions that ultimately impact Claims expenses.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accuracy, quality and integrity of the production staff model
- Monitors the forecast and trends of the inputs/outputs of the staff model and communicates potential impact/risk to leadership
- Manages projects developed for enhancing the staff model
- Contributes in the decomposition of the staff model
The ideal candidate should have the following characteristics:
- Bachelors or Masters degree with emphasis on Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Engineering
- Five years of business and analytic experience
- Proven strength in analytics, statistics, communication and presentations
- Self motivated- Advanced skills in SAS and SQL
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proven success in project management and problem solving
