We currently have a contract opportunity for a Benefit Processor in our Winston Salem, NC. office. This position will support Aon Consulting's Employee Benefit Outsourcing group and is expected to last approximately 6 months.

POSITION SUMMARY
Applies subject matter knowledge to resolve issues in the area of benefit inquiries utilizing Aon’s EBO online toolset. Answers questions and provides guidance on benefits related issues to ensure proper handling of inquiries and documentation. Performs EBO/HW processing, verification, and documentation in accordance with team procedures. Follows policy and responds to all cases related to benefit services specific area of responsibility (employee benefit plans, Employment Process Outsourcing– staffing/HR guidelines and/or legislation).

MAJOR DUTIES
Follows policy guidelines for handling written correspondence or inquiries involving benefits related services. Interfaces with internal and external contacts to facilitate completion of work.
Reviews and understands benefit plan rules using information from a variety of sources (i.e. systems, reference materials, clients, etc.)
Interfaces with internal team members in determining the appropriate handling of sensitive claims.
Prepares written response to customer inquiries and documents interactions
Researches policies and precedents to respond to inquiries from executive correspondence group.
Follows new and existing guidelines for benefit processors
Processes, verifies, and documents incoming and outgoing computer files and reports as outlined in a processing calendar.
Monitors, updates and verifies processing calendar/checklists. Alerts team members to any exceptions
Resolve edit reports for outbound carrier files sent to vendors.

COMPETENCIES
Benefit Processor - 1 - 3 years experience preferred - Knowledge of call center/client policies and procedures – Demonstrated skill with Microsoft products/tools and general computer skills. Health & Welfare knowledge a plus.
