Full-time Medical Claims Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Reinsurance Claims Analyst in our Pittsburgh Office.
 
Description of duties & responsibilities:
1)Provide Claim support to ARS Managed Care Clients:
a.Assist Clients with Claim submissions
b.Act as advocate to the client in the claim submission process
c.Retain high level of security within Government guidelines in the claim submission and review process
d.Perform the pre adjudication of claims as required by the client
e.Review reinsurance recovery for accuracy and to coordinate release recovery to the client
f. Develop receivable targets for clients as necessary.
2)Perform Claim Analysis for the benefit of the practice and clients
a.Create benchmark information for client comparison
b.Create reports for clients to include in data exchange meetings
3)Assist with Managed Care department requests as necessary in order to meet client demands

Special skills required:
1)Understanding of Claim Coding, UB and HCFA forms and electronic filing requirements
2)Necessary and competent communication skills via e-mail and telephone to work with clients and reinsurers
3)Internet acumen to perform research on national Medicare, Medicaid and commercially offered managed care plans
 
Additional Requirements:
1)The ability to work within the Managed Care group in the Pittsburgh Office
2)The ability to work in the Pittsburgh location
3)The aptitude to adhere to Aon’s mission, vision and values along with following the Aon HR employee policies and guidelines.
4)The incumbent will possess good communication skills (written and verbal) when dealing with clients
5)The incumbent will be able to work in a team environment.   
6)Excellent IT skills including excel, word and relational data bases are required.
 
Minimum work experience required:
3-5 years experience in claim processing of first dollar medical claims
2-3 years experience of claim processing in a managed care or stop loss environment

Education:
High School Diploma, preferred post HS education/training in Claim Processing, Health Insurance, and understanding managed care.
