The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies is currently seeking a Commercial Lines Senior Underwriter to join our Minneapolis Branch.
The Senior Underwriter will underwrite and manage an excess/umbrella book for our Minneapolis Territory. The person will be responsible for the achievement of the department’s financial metrics which include profit, growth, retention, rate and new business production. The individual is also accountable for effectively collaborating with remote underwriters, lead generation, and the fostering of external relationships with the agency plant. Performing front door management to filter new business and reinforce appetite is expected.
The ideal candidate will have marketing and sales skills including negotiating, account rounding, customer service and organizational skills. They should know how to build and maintain productive and dynamic relationships with the agency plant. They must also be able to develop and maintain a robust prospecting pipeline with sufficient leads to meet and exceed new business production goals. Demonstrated technical, analytical and decision making abilities are necessary to achieving business objectives. Underwriting experience in excess/umbrella underwriting is desired.
