Assistant Account Executive- Personal Lines
at DeWitt Stern Human Resources in New York
Job Summary:
The world’s foremost independent risk advisors are busy, which is good news for licensed P&C brokers with an eye for the big picture and a knack for getting inside a client’s business. We seek an experienced Assistant Account Executive with 2+ yrs of Personal Lines brokerage experience. Candidates should be strategic thinkers who value honesty and possess a sense of urgency matched by integrity and an absolute commitment to client care. The Assistant AE will be responsible for assisting Account Executives in servicing a book of Personal Risk Management accounts.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Assist Account Executives in processing daily workflow
• Process applications, binders, policy changes, cancellations, etc. as assigned
• Assist with telephone calls when A/E is unavailable
• Faxing, photocopying and typing/drafting letters as deemed necessary by A/E
• Word processing, Internet and Spreadsheet work
• Assist in getting quotes from various companies
• Prepare new business and renewal proposals
• Process invoices for agency billed policies and any accompanying letters
• Participate in company and agency sales promotions
• Inputting and updating new policies and renewals
• Follow up on change requests
• Complete policy checklist and process recommendation letters
• Download of renewals, endorsements and new lines and other documents from Chubb, Fireman’s Fund and other carriers and electronically distribute to appropriate AE
• Send new policies, update/ endorsements to Singer, DCA & DSI, and others, weekly or as needed
• Any other duties that are assigned by Assistant Manager and/or Manager
Requirements and Qualifications:
• College degree preferred
• Valid P&C brokers’ license
• 2+ years experience at insurance brokerage in Personal Lines, VIP preferred
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional organization and time-management skills
• Sagitta agency management system knowledge a plus
