Chartis has an opportunity for an Underwriter in its Global Marine and Energy division.
Perfomance objectives for this position are as follows:

• Possess the ability to analyze and underwrite new and renewal National Account energy business (excess of $500M in revenue) within the excess casualty segment.
• Achieve individual and departmental budget requirements and objectives as assigned by senior management within the National Account Segment.
• Ensure consistent underwriting within established guidelines through accurate documentation and processing of a renewal book of business in an assigned territory or region in accordance with divisional strategies and objectives provided by senior management.
• Responsibility for marketing Chartis Excess Casualty and Global Marine & Energy insurance products to brokers and clients. S
• Some travel may be required to meet with clients and brokers on new and renewal business at the direction of senior management.

• 3-5 years of similar experience within a large financial services environment.
• Experience in energy and marine underwriting is be required.
• Candidate must have excellent written, communication and organizational skills combined with the ability and flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, presentation and marketing skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines is a must.
