Full-time Account Executive - Health and Benefits Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive – Health Benefits Analyst for our Indianapolis Office.

Primary responsibilities for this position include:
Growth and maintenance of Aon Risk Solutions Health and Benefits business as the primary consultant or project manager for our clients;

Description
- Develop an awareness of the insurance vendor marketplace, plan designs, health care costs factors and the renewal process for health and group benefit programs.
- Collect, analyze and interpret health care claims and utilization data from vendors/carriers for reporting to the client, including cost projections and evaluation of vendor renewals.
- Assist in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process on behalf of a client, including collecting and analyzing responses from carriers
- Support teams by gathering and analyzing health benefit and wellness data within the analytical software available.
- Assist consultants in reviewing client needs, recommend suitable approaches and help advise in benefit and program strategies.
- Help write and structure communications with consultants and/or clients through reports, analytics; and presentations.
- Serve as a day-to-day contact for support in resolving service or data issues with claims/clients/consultants.

Aon Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, math, or related field, or equivalent experience; life & health license is necessary; CEBS certification preferred.

Aon Required Experience:
5+ years of Account/Practice Management experience within a benefits consulting environment. Must have a high degree of technical expertise.

Qualifications

Aon Special Skills:
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and medical claims payment systems; must possess a thorough understanding of the H&W practice, as well as what drives the client's business. Specific areas of expertise include (but are not limited to): benefit plan design; managed care and flex plans; and financial analysis of employee benefit programs. Must have strong analytical, organizational, communication, project management ; time management skills. Must be detail-oriented and have a customer service focus. Requires ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; meet tight deadlines.

- A bachelor’s degree in business, math, or statistics.
- Strong analytical, mathematical and project management skills.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Previous experience with benefit analytical software, data mining, and data analysis using medical, pharmacy claims, costs and plan projections.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment wit rapidly changing priorities and demands.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong business ability paired with intellectual curiosity.
- Previous experience with wellness data (biometrics, health risk assessment, lab results) is a plus.
- Business Experience with database and SQL.
- Clearly able to communicate and discuss database issues with vendor
- Ability to validate data for data integrity, relational integrity, consistencies, completeness
- Ability to build and utilize basic SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005 or SQL Server 2000+
