Claims Analysis Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Analysis Specialist at our Jericho, NY office.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Claims Analysis Specialist is responsible for the handling of all aspects of claims, including notice of incidents, small claim matters, litigation and denials related to a Travel Agents Professional Liability Program administered by The Berkely Group.
The Claims Analysis Specialist also inputs claim notes into the claim system and handles assorted administrative duties as assigned. Responsible for the review, analysis and adjudication of assigned claim files. Provides written acknowledgement to Insured of the coverage available or non-coverage under the Insured’s policy.
Additional responsibilities include:
Effectively communicates decisions to Insureds
Assignment and communication with Defense Counsel
Review and payment of legal invoices
Complete necessary reports for submission to the Insurance Company
Special Skills:
- Experience with MicroSoft office suite products including Word and Excel
- Acts with integrity and professionalism
- Analyzes information for sound decision making
- Committed to quality and results
- Communicates verbally effectively
- Writes clearly, concisely and effectively
- Handles multi-tasking effectively
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
- Fosters teamwork
- A New York State Licensed Adjuster or the ability to obtain a New York State Adjuster License within the first six months of employment
Minimum Work Experience Required:
Two years previous liability or comparable claims handling experience
Education Required:
- High school, college degree preferred.
- New York State adjuster license required within six months of hire date
