Job Summary
Responsibilities
This individual is responsible for the filing, investigation, evaluation (reserving), settlement and/or the defense of those workers' compensation claims as assigned in a timely, cost effective manner by utilizing the medical, legal, and account resources available.
This position will handle lost time workers' compensation claims with an estimated length of disability of fourteen (14) to fifty-two (52) weeks duration, as determined and assigned by the Unit Claims Supervisor. 125-150 average claim caseload.
Required Qualifications
A working knowledge of CompServices, Inc. policies and procedures. The incumbent must have detailed knowledge of the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation law and the claims process. An in-depth working knowledge of medical and legal terminology, as well as the litigation process. The incumbent must possess good analytical skills as well as strong tact, diplomacy and professional skills. Excellent interpersonal, marketing and communication skills (written and oral) are required. The claims adjuster must be able to work independently and as part of the Unit Team to meet the goals of the client and CompServices, Inc. Equal Employment Opportunity
