Currently, Chubb is seeking an Environmental Examiner for its Dallas, TX location.
Competencies/Technical Skills – Minimum of 3 years casualty/environmental claim experience or equivalent. The position requires strong communication, organization and time management skills. The position also requires the ability to perform in-depth investigations, address complex coverage issues and manage litigation-based claims in accordance with established standards. The ability to negotiate is also a required skill. The position requires an understanding of multi-jurisdiction/venue issues, multi-year exposures and coverage contribution concepts. Exemplar service competencies are also necessary elements of the position. The candidate should also possess the ability to mentor and develop other team members.
Position Description - Specific duties include analyzing coverage, resolving coverage issues, and drafting/issuing coverage based correspondence. Evaluate liability and damage potential, through detailed investigations. Post accurate loss and expense reserves and re-evaluate reserve exposure during the life of a claim. Establish litigation management agendas with defense counsel. Negotiate claims to a proper conclusion. Maintain well-documented files. Adhere to all instructions involving special accounts. Best practices compliant. Effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Proactively control the use, work product and expenses of outside vendors.
Education - Bachelor’s degree
