Insurance Retention Specialist
at AAA/Ohio Auto Club in Ohio

PURPOSE:
To proactively preserve and enhance relationships with current policy holders within the agency. The Retention Specialist will reach out to our current insured’s to perform a review of their current policies, deepen their relationship with the agency and identify cross sell opportunities. The Retention Specialist will promote and sell AAA Insurance Agency products and services where applicable.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBLITIES, & EXPECTATIONS;
1. Learn product features, marketing and sales techniques necessary to perform duties and meet or exceed established goals.
2. Adhere to AAA Insurance Agency guidelines and procedures and “Non-compete Agreement for Employees”.
3. Contact existing policyholders to review policies making any necessary changes and/or re-rating/rewriting as needed to retain insured in agency.
4. Educate our policyholders on coverage and products, ensuring they are well informed and properly insured.
5. Identify needs of policy holders and consistently meet retention and sales goals as defined in the Retention Specialist Pay for Performance Plan.
6. Follow internal process procedures to assure that transactions are handled in accordance with company and agency policies, practices and guidelines.
7. Attend sales and staff meetings as scheduled.
8. Meet continuing education requirements to maintain licenses.
9. Maintain good attendance and tardiness record.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, SPECIFIC ABILITIES:
1. Excellent communication skills to include ability to present complex information in a clear manner.
2. Sales experience preferred
3. Ability to solve problems by assessing relevant information, drawing on past experience and applying critical thinking to develop an appropriate solution.
4. Work both independently and in a team setting.
5. Strong math and computer skills to enable the agent to determine premium rates
6. Must pass Ohio Property and Casualty sales exam
7. Organize, plan, promote and retain current insurance book of business
8. Pass State licensing exams as required.

Hourly wage $14.09-$15.50
