Account Executive w/International Casualty
at Aon in Illinois

We have a career opportunity for an Account Executive with International experience in our Chicago Loop Office:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handles accounts of all complexity levels, (though focused on largest / most complex), mostly as the primary person, and occasionally as a shadowed resource for Senior Account Specialists or Associate Account Executives who are taking the lead on an account
- Manages broking process for international casualty programs, including preparations of specifications, market submission, market negotiation and proposal preparation on designated programs
- Responsible for partnering with colleagues from other practice groups, including Property, Casualty, Financial Lines, Marine, Environmental and others, to help offer counsel and advice regarding program structure and tactical implementation to help clients achieve compliance with commercial & legal requirements
- Contributes technical and tactical counsel on international program design, market selection, network engagement and communication strategies
- Responsible for leading the account teams in the US and overseas, executing strong project management skills
- Sets account engagement of controlling and international offices based on proactive conversation with overall Account Executive & pricing tools.
- Responsible for profitability of accounts, both in the US as well as of the local Aon offices
- Responsible for efficient and effective utilization of resources available to best service the account
- Setting a renewal timelines & managing adherence to the deliverables from Aon, carrier & client
- May specialize in a particular industry or global technical area to act as a resource for the group
- Provides timely and accurate reports to senior management as requested
- Helps leads prospecting efforts, including seeking opportunities for penetration sales for current accounts as well as new accounts as they become available. Sales role is to include providing regular updates to department pipeline
- Exhibits confidence and precision with clients and in presentations
- Depending on complexity of and team assignment to account, sees to the implementation of programs within Aon network
SKILLS & REQUIREMENT
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the business required, preferably 10 years
- Experience in dealing with International Casualty accounts required
- Technical program placement skills to include ability to work with a client to design international program structure
- Proficient in the calculation of global program cost allocations
- Exhibits confidence and precision with clients and in presentations
