Printer Operator I

Position Description:
Responsible for the operation of all PC based print devices as designated by the department supervisor and team leader. This includes Xerox Nuvera 288 laser printers and Xerox IGEN Color printing equipment as well as IBM 6262 printer and IBM 3900 report printers. Responsible for operating Gunther mailing inserters including ink jet and 2D optical monitoring system. Responsible for operating various finishing devices including; cutter, folder, booklet maker and spiral binding equipment. Work as part of a team to produce quality printed products while maintaining our priority print schedule and strict customer service goals. Collaborate with co-workers, the Data Center, Technical services, Network Publishing, Manual Collating and various customers to manage the daily workflow in a positive manner. Continually “raise the bar” for successful performance.

• Professional, detail oriented, driven and self-motivated.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
• Highly organized, ability to multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• An attention to detail, and follow through on problem resolution.
• Capable of making independent decisions related to specific job function/task.
• Hard working, cooperative and enthusiastic.
• Ability to work overtime when needed and during holidays is necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an extended period of time.
• Good mechanical skills desired.
• Experience in a Print Shop environment preferred.
Shift:
This position would be Tuesday-Friday- 7:00 am- 3:45pm Sat- 6am- 2pm one week and other week would be 7:30am -4:15pm Tues-Friday and Sat- 6am -2pm. There is a 45 min lunch break on Tuesday-Friday)
