Description:
Under the direct supervision of a Program Manager, performs responsible operational duties in connection with the administration of wrap up insurance programs, including oversight and quality control of program administration activities, and the preparation of periodic documents reporting on and assessing the progress of projects
Specific Duties:
Participates in program implementation meetings with the Program Manager and the Sponsor to establish operational and reporting processes for the Wrap Up program.
1. Assures program administration compliance with the commitments made in project Service Agreements.
2. Assesses the completeness or delinquency of Program Administrator activities and recommends training for staff working on assigned projects.
3. Coordinates activities of multiple, on-site Program Administrators engaged on multi-location CCIP's to assure that processes, procedures and reports are consistently applied.
4. Establishes project insurance credit methodologies, reviews Program Administrator performance in calculating and obtaining credits, resolves insurance credit problems, and determines the adequacy of credits for contractors with non-traditional insurance programs.
5. Depending upon the specific credit methodology of the Wrap Up program, tracks all insurance credits, periodically reports the status of credits to the Sponsor and the Program Manager, orders final payroll audits by the insurers, and conducts true-ups of final credits at contract completion.
6. Monitors Wrap Up Data Center responsiveness and accuracy in inputting data submitted and reports results to the Program Manager and the Manager, Wrap Up Data Center.
7. Prepares and distributes periodic (i.e. monthly or quarterly, as appropriate) Wrap Up program activity reports for the project to the Sponsor and other approved recipients after review by the Program Manager.
8. Prepares periodic project stewardship reports for Program Manager approval and presentation.
Requirements:
- High school graduation; college-level coursework, or its equivalent, in insurance or risk management is highly desirable.
- Possession of an insurance broker, agent or producer license in the project's state of operation.
- A minimum of 5 years, of progressively more responsible experience in the insurance field, preferably with experience in the area of construction insurance, including a minimum of 3 years experience in wrap up program administration.
Skills and Abilities:
- Effective organization and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Knowledge of construction practices, construction project administration and construction insurance.
- Ability to effectively supervise subordinate staff.
- Ability to handle multiple, non-congruent tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, or similar scheduling programs.
