Organizational Overview:
The mission of the Claim Litigation Management Unit (LMU) is to provide Chubb''s insureds with the highest quality legal services to cost effectively resolve their claims. The Litigation Cost Management Group (LCMG), an integral part of the LMU, delivers on this mission by reviewing all invoices from US and Canadian based law firms that provide claims related legal services to Chubb and its insureds. This group reviews over 100,000 invoices annually and ensures that all outside counsel invoices are processed in accordance with Chubb''s Litigation Management Guidelines.
Position Description:
This position reports to the Litigation Management Manager and will be responsible for supporting the LCMG report development, database administration and e-billing system administrative maintenance. This position will be located in Simsbury, CT.
Primary Job Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions
• Develop, troubleshoot and maintain LCMG related Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel work products
• Develop operational, auditing, financial and ad-hoc reports, as needed
• Manage and monitor user access to LCMG related systems and work products
• Test and validate the quality of invoice processing data
• Works with Quality Assurance and Training Manager to provide oversight and training of staff regarding the use of LCMG computer systems
• Work with LCMG system vendors to identify, troubleshoot and resolve system outages
• Work with production staff to better leverage available technology to streamline operations
• Partners with LMU staff on various projects
• Must effectively communicate with Chubb partners at various levels
• Handle inquires and issues arising out of team workflow
• Seeks to understand customers needs; Analyzes and resolves problems effectively; Adjusts work style to meet customer requirements
• Work with business partners and groups within LCMG to achieve departments’ goals
Knowledge / Skills / Experience / Education
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications including but not limited to Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, required
• Proven ability to integrate various data sources and create common reports, required
• Knowledge of standard reporting and analytical tools such as SAP Business Objects, IBM Cognos etc., a plus
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to interact effectively at various levels.
• Data analysis experience required
• Proven ability to work across dept/functional lines in order to influence and direct to achieve goals of LCMG.
