PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To monitor team and colleague technical and quality activities with a focus on trends and quality compliance; to recommend office needs for training to management; and to plan and initiate appropriate actions facilitating overall office performance, development and improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Administers the COMPASS program; conducts local office file audits.
2. Presents audit findings and results to local, regional and national management.
3. Assists Operations managers in coordinating and implementing national quality initiatives at the local level.
4. Manages and coordinates training and improvement activities needed to meet established operational and technical audit requirements.
5. Manages colleague coaching, mentoring, and group training as needed.
6. Manages new colleague training.
7. Provides supervisors with objective colleague quality measurements for use in the Managing Accountability People Performance (MAPP) program.
8. Participates in quarterly national total performance management (TPM) review meetings with national TPM and Quality leaders.
9. Conducts training during regional claims school quarterly.
10. Maintains technical claims and jurisdictional expertise.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs other duties as assigned.
2. Supports the organization's quality programs.
3. Travels as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
2. Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
3. Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Professional certification such as AIC, CPCU, or ARM preferred.

Experience
Five (5) years claims management and two (2) years supervisory experience required. Two (2) years service with the company preferred.
