Financial Analyst - Insurance Ratings
at Confidential in New Jersey
The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for the development and dissemination of credit rating criteria and methodology. The group is also charged with creating corporate policies, procedures and internal control mechanisms that promote compliance with the laws and rules established by the various regulatory bodies who oversee the work of credit rating agencies in their respective jurisdictions.
• Participate in regular review of rating criteria, methodologies and models.
• Oversee maintenance of criteria and methodology archives.
• Assist in development of guidance to analysts on questions relating to criteria and methodology.
• Assist in development of training of analysts on criteria and methodology.
• Support communication of criteria and methodology to industry participants (brokers, accounting firms, trade associations, investment bankers, etc).
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics or related field preferred.
• 3+ years credit rating agency experience or in-depth knowledge of credit rating criteria.
• Financial analysis experience in life insurance is required.
• Strong writing skills.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Team player capable of multi-tasking.
• Willingness to travel 10-20%
