Full-time Commercial Insurance Underwriter with 5+ Yrs Exp and Exceptional Marketing Skills

The Minneapolis Branch currently has an opening for a Multi-line Underwriter that can combine underwriting acumen, marketing and business planning skills to execute the business plan. The Underwriter will manage a $5,000,000 book of business in the Minneapolis Territory.

Job Responsibilities will include:
• Financial performance, including profit, rate, retention and growth.
• Identifying opportunities for growth within new and existing production sources, with an emphasis on developing and executing a new business growth strategy that includes prospecting and lead generation.
• Responsible for account solicitation, risk selection and analysis that includes documentation, pricing and sales of Chubb Commercial Insurance products and services for new and existing customers.
• Building relationships with assigned agents/brokers to meet or exceed financial goals
• Meeting with new and renewal customers and agents/brokers to negotiate coverage, price, and financial terms.
• Communicating and collaborating effectively with other members of the team as well as claims, loss control, marketing, operations and home office personnel.

Requirements:
• Must have 5+ years commercial multi-line underwriting background.
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated proficiency in sales, marketing and negotiations
• Capability to build and maintain productive and dynamic relationships with internal and external individuals
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment using multiple internal and external resources appropriately, effectively, and efficiently.
