PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To ensure product quality and regulatory standards compliance by line-of-business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Analyzes management reports related to new program performance and quality; mentors new colleagues to improve performance.
2. Maintains understanding of new program designs, processes, client expectations and partner relationships; recommends changes as needed.
3. Trains colleagues on new programs on technical processes and requirements.
4. Assists with projects focused on large process, procedural and/or compliance changes/updates; communicates changes/updates to field offices, IT, Legal and other applicable business units regarding regulatory requirements and changes.
5. Works with Practice Leader and other resources to monitor field performance and determine training needs; works with Sedgwick University as subject matter resource to develop necessary training programs and to perfect training tools.
6. Plays key role in maintaining client relationships; assists in new business productions.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs other duties as assigned.
2. Supports the organization's quality program(s).
3. Travels as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Five (5) years of claims management, managed care or other related experience to include two (2) years in supervisory capacity in the specified field required. AS/AA degree may substitute for one (1) year of experience; BS/BA degree may substitute for two (2) years experience; MS/MA degree may substitute for three (3) years experience.
Skills & Knowledge
- In depth knowledge of claims management, managed care and/or absence management processes and procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Analytical and interpretive skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
WORK ENVIRONMENT
