SUMMARY:
Responsible for administering testing on Claims IT solutions to ensure stable, low-defect production systems. This may include, but is not limited to:
•Conduct and/or provide support for the delivery of testing efforts
•Conduct test planning, documentation and execution of systems, regression and performance tests to uncover defects and improve the overall quality of the software
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and other test artifacts for multiple small, medium and large concurrent projects based on business requirements and design specifications document. Perform gap, traceability and testability analysis.
•Identify and maintain test data for projects.
•Execute test scripts during system and regression test. Document results, manage & retest issues to resolution.
•Participate in daily status meetings for System Test and/or UAT daily status meetings as necessary.
•Assist with the ongoing automation initiatives with regards to regression test bed.
•Continually improve and expand the coverage and efficiency of System, Regression, Performance testing.
•Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status to be reported back to the Test Lead.
•Provide root cause analysis of defects found during release test cycles. Document all problems and assist in their resolution.
•Develop an in-depth understanding of assigned Claims IT applications, databases and infrastructure.
•Work closely with Claims IT QA Manager to ensure that all testing activities occur in a timely fashion and to identify risks and to develop mitigation strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's Degree (required) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
•5+ years of hands-on software testing
•2+ years of experience with Quality Center/QTP or other testing tools
•Well-versed in all testing methodologies (white vs. black test work, system vs. functional).
