Full-time Account Manager

Currently we have a career opportunity for an Account Manager (Construction Services Group) in our San Francisco, CA Office.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Account Executive works to profitably manage all aspects of our company’s relationship with clients, insurers and partners. This position also assists in the preparation of persuasive proposals and presentations for new programs or other products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The Account Executive continually evaluates the underwriting profitability of each assigned client’s insurance program so that the program is financially stable and obtain or help to obtain the agreement of the underwriting insurer as to the financial parameters of the program. Conducts analysis to determine the cause of claims experience that varies materially from the anticipated claims cost. Writes or otherwise communicates with accounts, prospective accounts, consumers and insurance company representatives to explain product concepts, underwriting rationale, rating calculations, pricing opportunities or program changes. Addresses changes to our clients’ businesses as they relate to the marketability and underwriting profitability of our product. Helps in the design of persuasive presentations for business development and conduct training of client personnel. Assists in the preparation of detailed, persuasive written proposals to secure new insurance programs.

Actively listens to client concerns, needs, goals or objections, both stated and unstated, and work with other business units to be respond to those concerns, needs or goals. Helps initiate and manage projects within other departments to address specific client service issues that arise in the course of managing our client’s insurance program. This may include: developing data interaction procedures in conjunction with our Information Technology group; effectively resolving a service issue for one of our clients’ customers who has an outstanding issue with our call center or claims personnel; addressing and implementing a new financial arrangement between our client’s accounting personnel and our accounting department, etc. Assists our industry partners in successfully marketing our insurance products to their customers so that the partnership maximizes its profitability. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1+ years experience in consulting, investment banking, finance, accounting or other client-focused, service environment. Exceptional interpersonal skills ultimately capable of interacting with major clients and cultivating strong relationships with our customers, their employees, insurers and other third parties to the company’s long term benefits. Entrepreneurial attitude where accountability for profitability and satisfaction are second nature.

Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing. Manages time effectively through strong organization, multi-tasking, time management and project management skills. Works independently as a self-starter committed to delivering the highest in customer service, quality and results. Analyzes information to help make sound business decisions. Anticipates problems and works proactively to solve them through creative thinking. Embraces change in support of the business units and company’s goals. Proficient in PC applications such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Lotus Notes

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and one to two years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education or experience.
