Full-time Client Executive

Responsible for supporting team sales and retention goals on the mid/large segment for groups with less than 500 lives by developing strong employer relationships and providing superior service to the client. The Client Services Executive is also responsible for ensuring accurate and timely implementation and/or maintenance for new and renewing mid/large clients. The CSE does not support 500+, ASO, or Shared Advantage groups, as these are owned by the Managing Accounts Consultant immediately following the successful close of sale. The primary focus is to cultivate successful employer relationships to renew existing groups in the mid/large market.

Client (Employer) Relationships
-Develops and maintains strong relationships with employer groups on 1000 subs groups
-Engages with employers in a consultative manner on 1000 subs groups
-Understands the underlying needs of employers; creates solutions to meet needs on 1000 subs groups
-Monitors cases for performance and proactively talks to the Sales Executive regarding service issues on 1000 subs groups
-Performs routine employer visits to stay current with the employer’s business and their changing needs on 1000 subs groups
-Knows employer’s decision makers, HR/Benefits staff, and clearly understands how decisions get made within their organization on 1000 subs groups
-Participates in employer entertainment on 1000 subs groups
-Utilizes strong employer relationships to positively impact renewals and account retention on 1000 subs groups
-Supports strong producer relationships as part of the sales team on 1000 subs groups

Account Management
-Meets employer needs for service and Cost of Health Care management on 1000 subs groups
-Manages off-cycle changes as necessary on 1000 subs groups
-Engages initial sales contact in renewal support on 1000 subs groups
-Participates in escalated service issue resolution, as needed on 1000 subs groups
-Participates in mid-year service reviews for 300-999 lives with producers and employers; coordinates with Sales Executive on mid-year financial review process
-Monitors utilization and service performance and proactively recommends alternative/new benefit, product, program, and service options to meet client needs
-Proactively councils employers on changes in healthcare reform and the impact to the client, Blue Shield

Implementation
-Takes ownership of the client relationship after the close of the sale on 1000 subs groups
-Responsible for involving necessary subject matter experts during large, custom cases and acts as implementation manager on 1000 subs groups
-Accountable for customer installation, sharing sales information and delegating implementation tasks, and following up to ensure a timely and successful implementation as necessary on 1000 subs groups
-Develops and manages the implementation plan for groups and responsible for engaging appropriate subject matter experts to ensure timely and accurate implementation of new business on 1000 subs groups
-Monitors data accuracy and installation/renewal process in g2 to ensure successful installation and/or maintenance on 1000 subs groups
-Coordinates and manages electronic enrollment for mid/large clients as requested on 1000 subs groups
-Ensures effective health care reform implementation for on 1000 subs groups

New Sales Support
-Consistently integrates and teams with the Sales Executive and actively participates in knowledge transfer after the sale on 1000 subs groups
-Cohesive and integral part of the new business offering, confidently portrays account service as a differentiator on 1000 subs groups
-Partners with Sales Executive in supporting role to achieve new business goals on 1000 subs groups
-Supports new business closing by participating in new business presentations (e.g. finalist presentations) on 1000 subs groups

Misc
-Collaborates effectively with all members of the sales team, including sharing information within the team, providing market insight or feedback as appropriate and supporting the team in achieving new sale and renewal goals
-Primary contact after the new sale or renewal of 1000 subs groups to triage issues that come up during enrollment
-Works with eligible clients to set up, deliver, and explain requested reports for 1000 subs groups
-Rectifies major/extreme billing problems on 1000 subs groups
-Participates in periodic team and internal meetings on 1000 subs groups
-Stays current and knowledgeable on latest industry trends on 1000 subs groups
-Effectively communicates BSC strategies, value proposition, and mission in the marketplace on 1000 subs groups

Healthcare knowledge
-In-depth knowledge of the goals, strategies, and competitive position of Blue Shield
-Demonstrated knowledge in health care benefit plans and contracts

Product knowledge
-Detailed knowledge of BSC products and services
-Detailed knowledge of BSC Specialty products

Financial and underwriting
-Knowledge of financing methodologies and strategies
-Demonstrated ability in analytical thinking and math skills
-Strong knowledge of BSC reporting capabilities, set-up, and management

Internal operations and capabilities
-Strong knowledge of BSC on-line system capabilities, including but not limited to blueshieldca.com, Producer Connection, Employer Connection, etc., and the flow of related information
-Ability to work with multiple groups, navigating BSC internal departments for consistent and positive results for customers and the company
-Deep knowledge of internal people, roles and processes including LGBU Way of Doing Business behaviors
-Comply with attendance at internal meetings

Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree and three years experience in insurance/employee benefit sales or equivalent combination of education and experience
-Proven excellence in account management skills and account retention
-Maintains valid driver’s license
-Active life license required and continuing education to support the license
-Proficient computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, sales force automation/CRM (e.g. salesforce.com), Facets, etc.
