The Medical Underwriter will be responsible for reviewing applications, gathering data and assessing risk against established Underwriting guidelines and claims history.
o The qualified candidate will utilize rating tools, reference materials and source systems to assess medical risk.
o The risk classification process will involve the evaluation of health history questionnaires and the interpretation of medical history.
o Determines appropriate rate level given the medical risk.
o Accountable for accurate case documentation, sound decisions, and clearly written communications to internal Sales and Broker.
