RMIS Data Services Technician

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring that all client data set up and maintenance is met in a timely and accurate manner. This position will take on special projects as needs dictate.
Responsibilities:
Completes and/or designs location structure initial set up within assigned time frame and ongoing maintenance in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate optimal service to each client.
Establishes new contract numbers.
Sets up accounts in RMIS systems.
Distributes set up information for new and renewal accounts to consuming parties.
Assists with RMIS data cleanup for RMIS and Claim implementations/conversions.
Provides back up for the RMIS support when needed.
Completes data quality work on location codes.
Participates in Novation and Buyback Projects.
Education:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in Operations/Process Management or Business Administration.
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of risk management business needs and RMIS development life cycle.
Strong organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and to be a self-starter.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Broadspire’s RMIS, and applicable legacy systems.
Ability to type at least 35 wpm.
Ability to apply policies and procedures to unit activities.
Ability to adapt to changing technologies.
Strong claim product and service knowledge.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and presentation skills.
Collaboration with other business areas.
Strong working knowledge of systems capabilities.
Understanding of the insurance/TPA industry and marketplace.
Ability to be creative and open to change.
Experience:
3-5 years of insurance related work experience.
Experience in sales, service, and support functions.
Prior experience must include direct customer interaction.
