Aon Hewitt Senior Educators is a business unit within Aon Hewitt that assists Medicare-eligible retirees to select appropriate Medicare health plans. We are currently recruiting for temporary Benefits Advisors for employment through the end of 2011. There is the possibility of transitioning to a full-time position based on business need. The locations of the roles are Lincolnshire, IL and The Woodlands (Houston), TX.
Individuals in these roles have in-depth, consultative conversations over the telephone with retirees who are interested in Medicare health insurance (Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Cost Plans & Prescription Drug Plans). The Benefit Advisors work in a computerized, multitasked environment to serve customers and sell Medicare health insurance needs. Additional areas of responsibility are:
• Promptly respond to all retiree voicemails and emails
• Complete needs assessment and ask probing questions to qualify participants’ needs
• Research plan options in the proprietary Aon Hewitt tool and elsewhere on the internet
• Collaboratively assist in solving participant issues to select and enroll in insurance plans
• Accurately document all conversations, emails and actions taken on each interaction
• Assist customer service associates and enrollment specialists during high call volume
Requirements:
• Upon acceptance of offer, obtain a state insurance license prior to your start date. Aon Hewitt will arrange and pay for the licensing class and licensing exam
• Able to attend a 6 week training program with no days missed (start dates are the first four Mondays in August)
• Ability to work October 15 – December 15 with no days off (except Thanksgiving)
• No life, accident and health insurance licensing restrictions
• Desire for a role in sales (Aon Hewitt will provide pre-qualified leads)
• Strong keyboarding skills and desktop navigation
• Success in maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a fast paced business environment
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service and rapport building skills
• Aptitude for understanding details of insurance or complex information
• Experience and comfort using telephony, internet and computer tools
