ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
In this position, you will conduct telephonic interviews for clients who have applied for Long Term Care (LTC) insurance. In addition, you will help identify key follow-up questions needed during the health interview process by utilizing your knowledge as a licensed insurance agent.

Job Title: Telephonic Interviewer – Licensed Insurance Agent in Florida
Location: Work From Home (WFH) opportunity (must live in or near Minnesota)

Schedule – Full-time position – Scheduled work shifts are Monday through Friday and scheduled work hours will fall between 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. – Travel: Rarely (see responsibilities below)

Work From Home (WFH) Employees must have high speed internet connectivity and an analog or digital phone line (these expenses are reimbursable by the company).

Home-Based Employees are responsible for providing their own computer, telephone and headset equipment:
o COMPUTERSOFTWARE & HARDWARE:
 Operating systems
• Windows XP SP2 or higher, Windows Vista, Windows 7
 Internet Explorer 7or 8 web browser
 Minimum Computer Hardware Requirements
• 1.0 GHz
• 512mb ram
• 100mb of free hard drive space
 Monitor Requirements
• 1680 × 1050 Resolution
• 20 inch or larger monitor is recommended
 Internet connectivity (cable modem, DSL) with a minimum of 1.5mb connection
 Client Anti-Virus and Spyware protection

o PHONE & HEADSET:
 Analog or Digital phone line
 Phone that has headset connection capabilities

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct telephonic interviews for insurance company applicants in a quiet professional environment without interruptions and/or distractions.
• Receive calls from the customer service department in order to complete telephone interviews with long term care applicants.
• Document history and lifestyle information essential to the Underwriting process using pre-determined, scripted follow-up questions.
• Tactfully refocus applicants who wander off the subject when necessary.
• Give concise, accurate documentation on client’s health history.
• Must attend five days of in-office training.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be a Licensed Insurance Agent with current, valid and unrestricted Health and Life licenses in Minnesota and/or Florida
• Completion of a Long Term Care Partnership course is strongly preferred
• Must type at least 40 WPM and is proficient with MS Office
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including:
o Building a trusting, friendly relationship quickly
o Communicating effectively and handling demanding people over the phone
o Maintaining confidentiality as appropriate and a professional demeanor
o Demonstrated team player, problem solver and decision maker
• Ability to navigate and operate through various computer programs
• Ability to assess telephonically the policyholder’s care needs and current care services in order to provide choices of community resources and assist in coordinating those services
• Ability to abstract information and develop an individualized plan of care based on the policyholder’s needs and his/her medical and social situation
• Ability to evaluate the care services on an ongoing basis and work with the policyholder to revise the plan of care as needed
• Ability to understand cognitive deficits and develop a plan of care that would maintain the policyholder’s safety in the least restrictive environment
• Ability to manage a client caseload with proficiency as well as other designated responsibilities
