Provider Relations Representative
Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting in the establishment and maintenance of productive working relationships between contracted plans and the provider networks associated with those plans in Onondaga and surrounding counties.
Specifically, the Representative will:
• Act as liaison with the providers, performing new office orientations, product training, problem resolution, maintenance and general service.
• Train providers on contractual requirements and policies and procedures.
• Document field visits, verbal or written communication, with providers timely and accurately.
• Maintain a current understanding of provider contractual agreements and member products and benefits.
Educational Requirements: BA/BS required or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience: 2 - 4 years healthcare or managed care experience required.
Previous Provider Relations experience required.
Technical Skills: Strong verbal and written communications skills, Strong computer skills, as well as the ability to multitask are required. NYS Drivers license and dependable transportation required.
