Job Purpose:
Management of the staff, operations, system enhancement projects, and process improvements for a data management team.
Major Duties:
· Operations Management - all activities related to maintaining BAU in functional area
· Employee Growth and Development - including all performance management activities, interviewing, and hiring
· Manage staff to achieve results against production schedules
· Participate in Data Management Investment Projects – design through implementation
· Collaborate with actuarial staff to resolve complex workers compensation data quality issues
· Interact with insurance company management to resolve escalated workers compensation data quality issues
· Process Improvement Management
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
· College Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
· 3 years of management experience in a data management or data quality role, insurance experience is preferred
· 5 years in an analytical or project environment with a data management or data quality focus
· Experience generating and tracking project or operational success and monitoring metrics
· Experience implementing quality methodologies for performance excellence
· A general understanding of NCCI customers and customer processes preferred.
· A general understanding of NCCI data types, data standards and how data is used in NCCI products preferred.
· Understanding of testing strategies, types of systems testing, and test plans preferred
