Full-time Technical Service Rep – Strong ability to multi-task and Prior Insurance Knowledge Needed

Currently, Chubb is seeking a Technical Service Rep for the Whitehouse Station, NJ office.

The Technical Services Rep will partner with the Underwriting teams in Chubb Commercial Insurance to serve as the Overseas Underwriter’s, the Affiliate’s and the Producers’ first point of contact for change requests, general service inquires, and endorsements emanating from the automatic renewal process. This position will also be responsible for the underwriting of endorsement requests for the Branch as well as providing support to Branch operational needs.

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Timely adherence to the Automatic Renewal work flow.
• Timely response to producer inquiries relative to Endorsements and the Automatic Renewal process.
• Gather and analyze change requests then complete the endorsement book/issue instructions as necessary.
• Gather and analyze adequate and accurate account specific information to facilitate the non Automatic Renewal endorsement underwriting decision. Refer all non Automatic Renewal endorsement requests to appropriate Underwriter for sign-off and approval.
• Adhere to all jurisdictional compliance documentation standards and ensure all underwriting documentation is complete.
• Provide primary or backup support to ensure branch operational needs are met
• Support the detail functions associated with endorsement triage, loss run activity, submission management, prospects management, work manager activities, MAPS and WIP activities, CUW assignments, BOR processing, OSD Commercial Policy Mailbox oversight and other various Detail Clerk tasks in support of the Branch
• Assist with special projects as requested.

The candidate will be expected to perform job functions with a wide degree of latitude including back up for other detail areas. The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Working knowledge of commercial product lines and familiarity with a variety of the field's workflows and procedures as well as knowledge of the insurance industry.
• Basic knowledge of underwriting principles and policy forms is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to learn quickly, prioritize work, and perform within time constraints.
• Strong time and desk management skills will aid the candidate in meeting or exceed the established Automatic renewal business goals.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining service standards on their existing workload
• Basic PC navigation skills including knowledge of Windows XP, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet required.


Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in similar role preferred.
