PRIMARY PURPOSE: To serve as Colleague Resources contact for managers and colleagues within specified offices; to serve as consultant and facilitator regarding Colleague Resources issues for specified offices; and to assist company offices with issues involving initiation and compliance of company Colleague Resources established programs, guidelines and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Regional Colleague Resources Manager with Colleague Resources operations for specified offices including employment, salary and benefit administration, employee relations, employee records, and Colleague Resources training.
Counsels managers, supervisors and colleagues on Colleague Resources issues; makes recommendations for resolutions including written warnings; and informs regional Colleague Resources management of possible adverse issues.
Interviews applicants; administers and reviews employment test; and makes recommendations on hiring decisions based on test results and staffing needs.
Makes recommendations on salary determinations and adjustments.
Serves as liaison between Corporate Colleague Resources Benefits department and colleagues concerning employee benefit plans including medical and dental claims.
Identifies training needs; conducts training for specified offices on Colleague Resources issues such as Human Resources laws and regulations, complaint procedures, EEOC, sexual harassment and termination procedures.
Monitors colleagues on leave of absence.
Ensures Human Resources Information System data information is accurate, complete and timely.
Facilitates conflict resolution on an as needed basis.
Investigates and documents colleague issues; documents findings and actions; provides investigation information to Regional Colleague Resources Manager for results and actions advice.
Ensures specified offices are in compliance with company Colleague Resources policies and procedures; makes recommendations for policy and procedure improvements.
Supports the total performance management initiative.
Travels as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Professional designation preferred.
Experience
Six (6) years Human Resources experience with progressively increasing responsibilities required. Human Resources Generalist experience preferred.

Thorough knowledge of Human Resources laws, regulations, and processes
