Reinsurance Associate –Entry Level

Position Description:
This position will be responsible for the handling of Low Level Complexity Reinsurance Claims, including:
•Identification, research, and notification of the lower level complexity reinsurance claims (facultative & treaty) to our reinsurance brokers for all claims assigned by Reinsurers Supervisor.
•Updated master claims list as needed.
•Meet all time and quality based service standards related to the notification (to reinsurance broker & direct reinsurers) of new gross claims and secondary notifications related to questions or queries from the reinsurers.
This position will also be responsible for Quality Control Functions, including researching and producing the quarterly reinsurance quality control reports and all follow up related to these two reports.
Position Requirements:
Skills / Competencies Required:
•Results Orientation: Strong Organizational Skills, with the ability to re-order priorities as needed. Ability to compile and synthesize basic claim information to create persuasive and logical written documents that support Chubb’s position.
•Communication Skills: ability to communicate with outside firms through persuasive written and verbal arguments that support Chubb’s positions.
•Self Starter who is motivated to accomplish multiple tasks on an ongoing basis.
•Customer Focus: Analyzes and resolves problems or situations effectively and quickly, in conjunction with direct supervisor.
•Teamwork: Proactively coordinates with others to ensure that everyone’s results are met or exceeded.
Additional Requirements:
•Strong skills with Microsoft product suite, especially Excel & Word
•Ability to analyze contractual information and accounting information in the context of problem solving for reinsurance claims.
•Working knowledge of insurance & reinsurance contracts is helpful, but not required.
