SIU Manager I (South Florida)

This position is responsible for a team of investigators whose purpose is to investigate and validate the legitimate claims of our customers, while detecting and deterring efforts to commit insurance fraud against our customers and Progressive.
It is also the SIU Manager I's charge to create an environment where people are able to develop and where, through clarity of communication and timely intervention, performance objectives are met.
The SIU Manager I directly and/or indirectly manages a staff of SIU Special Investigators including up to two SIU Team Leads across as many as three states and is responsible for employment decisions, performance management, compensation and reward planning, employee development, and monitoring a department budget. This position may require visits to customer residences, body shops, attorney offices, medical clinics, other business offices, and other vendors as needed in the course of business.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in law enforcement or claims/insurance investigation.
- Proven experience investigating/handling claims with advanced investigative skills.
- Models behavior fostering a positive team environment.
- Excellent organizational, time management and leadership skills.
- Able to motivate employees, introduce and manage change and obtain targeted goals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
