Sr. Reinsurance Analyst
at Pacific Life in California
Pacific Life is currently seeking an experienced Reinsurance Analyst for its Life Insurance Division located in Aliso Viejo, CA.
Primary Purpose:
Develop and maintain reinsurance processing procedures and training materials.
Plan and conduct training of new or less experienced Reinsurance Department employees in reinsurance functions, cash management and the TAI Reinsurance system.
Develop work plans requiring special team effort including definition of approach, development of procedures, work schedule for activities and assignments.
Lead responsibility for completion of special reinsurance team projects overseeing the work effort of assigned resources.
Perform complex reinsurance processing and adjustments requiring reinsurance and systems expertise.
Identify reinsurance system problems, work with other analysts and programmers to define and implement solutions.
Develop and support reinsurance financial/valuation reports/spreadsheets and exhibits for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of Ceded and Assumed Reinsurance.
Qualifications:
TAI Reinsurance System, Life insurance and Reinsurance experience preferred.
Strong analytical skills, highly organized and detail-oriented.
Mainframe systems experience required.
Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
PC skills working with WORD, EXCEL and ACCESS, particularly advance spreadsheet skills.
Completion of LOMA exams I and II desired.
