LAZ Operations Analyst
at Chubb & Son in Florida
JOB DUTIES:
As Operations Analyst for the Latin American Zone (LAZ) Operations Services Team, you are accountable for:
- Assist LAZ Operations Services Organization, combining subject-matter-expertise with analytical skills by serving in a supportive role to the field for business process and data management issues
- Provide reports and analysis of KPI results and resolution of inconsistencies; timely monitoring of business metrics like rate mod and renewal retention using corporate systems (WIP, WINS, CMR and MIS)
- Provide support of the development of new/change product and process workflows
- Search for content of appropriate technical training material and communicate to LAZ field in multiple languages, based on input from manager
Additional Major Responsibilities include:
- Develop tools to provide in depth analysis of MIS results to SBU managers
- Coordinate with Corporate Travel logistics for zone SBU and OSD meetings
- Monitor and publish Chubb Multinational Solutions (CMS) Service Results; serve as secondary contact with CMS field on follow up and processing issues
- Assist PASC with premium collection efforts with local offices on multinational and reinsurance accounts
- Type and design presentations for various meetings
- Provide input on field-related processing issues and trends; analyze and provide recommendations to workflows
- Provide back-up support in the Sunrise office according to Emergency Response Plan, vendor interface, and other administrative duties.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to achieve results within and across diverse organizational units and disciplines; must be fully bilingual (English & Spanish). Portuguese a plus
- Able to analyze numbers
- Good negotiation skills with ability to influence the priorities and actions of other people and departments.
- Ability to participate in multi-cultural teams on zone wide projects providing attention to detail, accuracy and organization, ability to interact with diverse work styles and ability to multitask several priorities/projects.
- Knowledge of commercial policy rate/book/issue systems, underwriting priorities/principles, reinsurance processes, Chubb systems/interfaces and proficiencies in on-line reference manuals, Word, Lotus, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Xythos, and Provision
- As the Operations Analyst, individual must be able to:
- Work effectively both alone and within cross-cultural teams in response to standard questions regarding workflow, process, roles, responsibilities, and corporate systems
- Demonstrate positive results with regards to ability to multitask, negotiate, manage own workload/time while meeting deadlines
Education and Experience:
High School plus additional insurance or university courses plus minimum of 5+ years of experience as a CSR or similar role in a branch environment
Knowledge of field organization and integration of systems
Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance terms, transaction processing flow, and systems functionality
Some experience in analyzing, designing and documenting processes and workflows and in developing communications and training materials for multi-cultural team
Limited travel to Latin America.
