Regional Property Restoration In House Estimator and Coordinator

Position Summary:
Oversees the work of Estimators; serves as a liaison between contractor, insureds and insurers; creates restoration estimates for field staff, and manages activities.
Responsibilities:
Provides overall supervision of estimators in 3 cities.
Monitors time frames for handling of individual claims by each estimator.
Creates estimates and submits documentation for reveiw within specific time perameters.
Audits files to confirm all completion documents, i.e., Certificates of Satisfaction and appropriate lien releases are in hand.
Mediates disputes that arise between the insured, the insurer and the contractor; maintains and improves relationships with all team members.
Facilitates responses to questions any party may have regarding the handling of the claim.
Schedules training sessions and installation of estimating software program for new estimators.
Assists the training staff when requested.
Coordinates events with for advertisement.
Occasional travel within territory for training, conferences, etc.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, construction or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and at least 4 years exp.
Familiar with residential and construction, and restoration means and methods.
Ability to interpret contract terms and conditions.
Basic construction estimating skills.
Good computer skills, Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT, Microsoft Word, Excel, and working knowledge of Xactimate.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under minimal supervision.
There is a no smoking policy on the premises.
