Application Developer - Hyperion
at Chubb Insurance in Warren, NJ
CBS (Corporate Business Solutions) is looking for an individual to work on their financial I/T team. This team is responsible for supporting Hyperion Applications as well as PeopleSoft Applications. The selected candidate will have a primary responsibility for being a technical lead in maintaining and developing the Hyperion Essbase systems. Candidate must enjoy challenges, multi-tasking and be able to function in a dynamic and aggressive environment.
Candidate should have 3 or more years application development background and experience in Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase. Specifically, the candidate should possess:
•3+ years in designing and developing application software using Hyperion Essbase and Planning (including Workforce / CapEx)
•3+ years of experience in multidimensional analysis, designing applications and databases, designing and building dimensions, loading data, calculating data and aggregation techniques
•In-depth experience with Hyperion Essbase calc script and planning business rules development.
•Thorough knowledge of end user tools including Smartview and Essbase Add-in for Excel
•Demonstrated knowledge of both native security and Shared Services security
•Experience with planning and forecasting processes for a large corporation.
•Experience in building and optimizing data loads and calculations within ASO and BSO Essbase architecture.
•SQL Based Data Load rules.
Oracle Essbase API and EAS Java API experience is highly desirable
•Knowledge of MaxL scripting language
•Working knowledge of Windows 2003 or above
•Working knowledge of software version control concepts, change management processes and testing methodologies
•Working knowledge of ETL processes
•Must be a good team player and detailed oriented, resourceful, motivated and creative
•Flexible, organized and able to handle competing priorities
•Sound, logic based decision making
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
