PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To provide rate and underwriting analysis services and support to external and internal customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs accurate and timely rate analyses pertaining to self insurance, retrospective rating, wage continuation, and cost of claims.
Responds to external and internal client questions (written or phone) concerning issues related to rating, underwriting and coverage.
Reviews accuracy of claim costs charged to employers' annual experience exhibits; files protest if errors are found.
Completes tasks generated systematically or internally in a timely manner.
Supports the organization's quality program(s).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
High School diploma or GED required. College degree in mathematics or related field preferred.

Experience
One (1) year experience with Washington Worker's Compensation rating or general insurance principles preferred.

Skills & Knowledge
Good oral and written communication skills
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Good interpersonal skills
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities
Ability to work in a team environment or independently
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
