We are currently looking for an Associate Director in our New York, NY office.

Position Summary:
The Associate Director works directly with Regional Leader, Team Leaders and Brokers teams, to determine and execute new business strategy, secure new business and retain existing clients in conjunction with ARS originators and account executives.  

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with planning and execution of Regional sales plan.  This includes; identification and assignment of all account opportunities.
Assist with winning new business and increasing revenue on existing clients.
Assists with reviewing and writing responses to client and new business RFP’s.
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of management liability insurance marketplace, products and services, developing productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters.
Identify and analyze prospect and client exposures.
Coordinates activities with other internal units as required to meet customer needs.
Assist with training of brokers and assistants, as required.

Required Skills and Experience:
Possesses basic competency in financial lines insurance (D&O, Fiduciary, EPL, etc.), with an ability to demonstrate capabilities to create innovative and effective solutions.
Effective working knowledge of carrier underwriting practices & processes
Proven leadership skills in working with teams and ability to work with medium to large commercial clients and to successfully exceed client expectations.
Proven client facing skills including effective presentations & communications,
Proven organization and ability to work with others.
Experience in resource deployment and utilization management.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels
Successfully operates in a fast-paced driven environment that requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Sales experience preferred and finance background a plus.
Must maintain appropriate brokers license.
Proficient in excel and PowerPoint.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of financial lines insurance brokerage and/or underwriting experience with a concentration on Directors & Officers Liability and also experience in Employment Practices, Fiduciary, Crime and Special Risk.
BS/BA degree required.
