Underwriting Associate – Exp with A&H or Life Insurance Products Strongly Desired
at Chubb Insurance in Whitehouse Station, NJ

Currently, Chubb is seeking an Underwriting Associate for the Accident & Health department located within Chubb Personal Insurance in Whitehouse Station, NJ.
As an A&H Underwriting Associate you are accountable for:
• Contributing to achievement of Zone, Profit Center(s) and Corporate goals relating to profit, renewal retention, rate, exposure, customer service and producer/client relations.
• Performing account/submission set-up, assignment to Underwriter, UA, Sales Rep, etc. file submission information into CUW, etc. and notifying next level of submission.
• Processing Renewals with accountability to follow underwriting criteria & guidelines.
• Booking monthly reported Arrears policy premium as well as analyzing reports for accuracy.
• Responsible for endorsement review.
• Proper form attachment (E.G. privacy notices, State specific forms, ERISA, etc).
• Researching and resolving all premium discrepancies.
• Generating & analyzing management reports.
• Handling ERISA/ 5500 regulatory processing. Includes data collection, discrepancy reconciliation and delivery of data.
• Maintaining accurate records and processes for group mailboxes and shared drives (including protected drive files).
• Handling ION Invoicing / check requests while maintaining sufficient expense coding knowledge to process standard requests.
• Managing agency appointments and maintaining related systems.
• Handling all BOR requests according to guidelines.
• Maintaining top level customer service for Zone 1-800 telephone support.
• Assisting other Operations staff in their absence.
• Responsible for Zone Business Goals and Objectives.
• Responsible for generating Specialized Claims reports.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Solid knowledge of insurance experience
• Demonstrated technical expertise and insurance product specific knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as Excel, Word, etc.
• Minimum 3-5 years of customer service/insurance experience.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
