Supervisor in Billing Services Department – Excellent People Management Skills Required

Currently, Chubb is seeking a Senior Supervisor within the Billing Services department for our Whitehouse Station, NJ office.
The Billing Services Senior Supervisor will manage a staff of 14 with responsibility for cash processing, collections, and agency bill and payroll deduction. In addition to managing staff, the Senior Supervisor is responsible for developing a strong partnership with bank vendors and the Treasury Department to ensure adherence to all SOX compliance issues and proper allocation of cash.
Responsibilities include:
• Improve the delivery of services and processes to gain efficiencies and improve customer satisfaction
• Coach and develop staff to enhance their business knowledge and customer service skills
• Provide leadership through effective communication, motivation, coaching and goal setting to achieve superior customer service
• Manage the performance process for all direct reports
• Identify trends to make process improvements
• Conduct internal department audits and partner with Internal/External Auditors to ensure compliance with SOX regulations
• Lead and manage teams doing a variety of complex tasks
• Act as a key member in the implementation of the Billing Strategy
• Research and respond to customer inquiries
• Develop and implement plans to achieve successful results, propose solutions to support the Chubb Personal Insurance Customer Service Center and Chubb Personal Insurance initiatives
• Drive the documentation, update and implementation of process workflows
A critical component of this position is people management. The incumbent must have a history of success in hiring, developing, and retaining talent. The Senior Supervisor will ensure that all individuals understand their job responsibilities, and have the required tools to effectively complete their jobs. The incumbent must adhere to all performance management guidelines including individual evaluations.
Competencies & Skills Required:
• 3 – 5 years of prior supervisory experience is required
• Possess effective communication skills (verbal & written)
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and effectively collaborate with internal and external partners
• Ability to successfully achieve business results
• Ability to evaluate service standards, metrics and processes to support business objectives
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate others
• Ability to think strategically
• Possess strong analytical skills to solve complex problems
• High level of attention to detail and quality
• Proven ability to exercise good judgment when making decisions
• Intermediate MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills required
• MS Access and Project Management skills a plus
