Affinity Insurance Services, a division of Aon, is a full-service insurance broker/administrator specializing in the marketing and administration of insurance programs for Aon’s affinity customer groups. Currently, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Commercial Lines Underwriter within the HealthCare Department at our Hatboro, PA office of Affinity Insurance Services, Inc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Underwrites Multi-line accounts accordance with agreed upon underwriting guidelines, regulatory compliance and carrier administration standards requirements (standard / non-standard market)
Deliver high quality /accuracy of the product for client’s new and or existing accounts
Use sound judgment and independent thinking to achieve the maximum result within authority and state guidelines
Identify premium growth opportunities with current book by cross sell offering other coverage
Collect/monitor competitive intelligence on all key competitors within assigned areas; anticipate client’s needs by contributing to research and development of products /endorsements
Work with Sr. Underwriter to organize and prepare rating information in carrier system(s)
Work within the E&S market
Works independently with moderate guidance and supervision
Actively seeks out new and challenging projects
Performs other duties as required

Required Skills and Experience
6 + years working and underwriting P&C Commercial package insurance.
Multi-line commercial lines product knowledge.
Experience in the E&S markets, understanding state regulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary to communicate in a professional manner with clients and the marketplace
Analytical skills – problem solving
Ability to work in fast pace environment
P& C License required

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
